Chalet Maxine, Plagne 1800, Catered 4* A chalet designed with skier’s comfort in mind, Maxine benefits from a sauna and WIFI internet. All bedrooms are en-suite. The spacious living area features satellite TV, CD player, DVD player, a selection of books (children and adult), toy boxes (monopoly, jenga, chess, connect 4 and others).
Ideally situated just above the main Plagne 1800 chairlift, chalet Maxine enjoys some wonderful panoramic mountain views from its terrace. The ski school meeting point, a free beginners’ drag lift, the popular après-ski and evening la Mine pub and the free shuttle stop to Plagne Centre are all in immediate proximity. There is a free outdoor car park near by.

These comfortable individual chalets are situated right by the edge of piste in Plagne Soleil at 2050m of altitude.
Chalet location - without doubt one of the best not only in la Plagne, but in all of the French Alps. The chalets are situated on the edge of the Dou du Praz blue run in the sought after 'Plagne Soleil' ski Village at 2050m of altitude! All you have to do in the morning is put your skis on and away you go!
For those of you who have not yet experienced a real ski to door high altitude chalet we can guarantee that you will love the experience. The chalets are located close to the crèche, ski school, restaurants, shops and Plagne Centre.

Les Balcons De Belle Plagne 4**** Catered
Located at 2050 meters of altitude, right by the main blue piste the chalet apartment complex « Les Balcons de Belle Plagne » offers superb ski to door skiing. The chalet apartments are decorated in the traditional Alpine style with pretty pine finishing. All bedrooms are en-suite. The spacious living areas feature satellite TV, CD player, fire places, toy boxes (monopoly, jenga, chess, connect 4 and others), DVD player.
Within the
complex there is an
indoor swimming pool open daily from
4pm to 8pm as well as a fitness centre and sauna (all payable locally). An underground car park is also available at a charge of 62 euros per week. The complex is a short walk from the car free centre of Belle Plagne where you will find a multitude of bars and shops as well as the popular Saloon nightclub.
It is easy
to see why Belle Plagne has
become a firm favorite wi skiers. The attractive Alpine village offers great high altitude skiing, for beginners and advanced skiers alike. It also offers a good basis from which to explore the whole Paradiski area, as the resort of Les Arcs is only two lifts away!

With its three glaciers, two peaks above 3000m, and 425 km of runs the la Plagne- Paradiski area is truly one of the worlds top ski destinations. Wide immaculately groomed slopes, long tree runs, north and south facing slopes, mogul fields, glacier skiing…Paradiski has it all! The pisted runs’ diversity and extensive off-piste make the area a great choice for groups of mixed abilities as everyone from the complete beginner through to the expert will find terrain to suit their ability.
Paradiski - La Plagne has something to offer to everyone.
Endless off-piste ranging from long forest runs in the village resorts of Montalbert, Montchavin and Les Coches, to the near vertical drop of the North Face of the Bellecôte glacier (guide recommended), as well as mind blowing couloirs and miles upon miles of wonderful powder. The off-piste in La Plagne could keep you busy for years, let alone a week's holiday…and we have not even mentioned Les Arcs and its wonderful off-piste and board parks. This diversity makes la Plagne a great choice for groups of mixed abilities as everyone from the complete beginner through to the expert will find terrain to suit their ability.
La Plagne Resort Information:
Three glaciers, two peaks above 3000m, and 425 km of runs make Paradiski one of the biggest and most varied ski domains in the world. The new 'Vanoise Express' bubble lift only takes 4 minutes to cover the 2km which separate La Plagne from les Arcs.

Non-skiers
There are various walks offering stunning mountain panoramas which non-skiers can enjoy. Starting in Plagne Villages the Dou du Praz loop offers a pleasant walk halfway through which you can enjoy a refreshment on the Sunny terrace of the “le Dou du Praz” restaurant. A longer walk to Plagne Bellecote lets you enjoy not only stunning views of the Mont Blanc, but also some nice forest paths.
The Pass’Glacier allows walkers to take the telecabin up to the Glacier, visit the ice cave and marvel at its ice sculptures and taste some local specialties too. The Pass’Glacier costs 15 euros for an adult and is free for under children under 6.
Après Ski La Plagne is a ski resort full of life! There are many fun après-ski activities to be enjoyed by everyone.

Good quality child care is essential for a successful holiday. This is why we are very happy to recommend 'Les Farfadets', a local childcare company who employ fully qualified English speaking nannies and experienced babysitters. They provide a full range of services including Babysitting, Full-time Nannies and Childcare equipment rental.
Children's Ski School (3 to 13 years) We are also happy to say that the Ski School's are located close to all our chalets.

La Plagne is a very popular ski resort with British tourists so there are plenty of travel options from the UK. Below are the different travel options available and links to travel providers. However, please do not hesitate to contact us if you require any assistance in booking or choosing your travel arrangements and we will be happy to help.
Self-drive Air Travel Snow Train Transfers Car Hire
From our experience, self-driving is a great way of getting to la Plagne, especially if you live in the South of England. It takes approximately 9h 30mins to reach la Plagne from Calais (it is approximately 597 miles). It is an easy and well sign posted route. We recommend that you use an AA route planner which you can access and print online (www.theaa.com). Self-driving is also a very cost efficient way of travelling. In our experience the return journey should cost about £75 each for 4 passengers travelling in a car. This includes the channel crossings, petrol and motorway toll charges! To arrange your Channel crossing you should contact Ferry Cheap for great savings on crossings: Once you get to la Plagne finding your way around is easy! Just follow the well sign posted route to Plagne Soleil.

Possibly the best way to visit la Plagne is by train as the transfer time from the station at Aime La Plagne to Plagne Soleil is only 30 minutes and the journey is very comfortable and great value.
The advantage of using the direct Friday overnight train service from Waterloo or Ashford International to Aime La Plagne, is that it gives you 8 days on the slopes as opposed to the 6 which you normally get with using air transport. Trains also leave from these stations on Saturday mornings throughout the season. For train options please contact: www.eurostar.co.uk or www.raileurope.co.uk
You can book transfers from any of the following: Aime train station - coaches run from the station to la Plagne as the snow trains arrive. These cost about 8€ per person and can be pre-booked through Cars Berard on 0033 (0)479 090344 or can be purchased on the coach. Lyon Airport - buses run from Lyon to la Plagne at 92€ per person return. There are discounts for children. Ski Hire We have teamed up with the 'Ski Set' ski hire shop, just a minutes walk from our chalet. All staff are English speaking and very knowledgeable about skiing and snowboarding. They have also agreed to give all our customers a 10% discount on the public price. Subject to availability, you may also exchange your skis for a snowboard for the day (and vice-versa) at no extra cost!
